Which image formats are supported?
JPG/JPEG, PNG and WEBP. Screenshots can be pasted directly with Ctrl+V (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+V (Mac) — no need to save as a file first.
How accurate is the text recognition?
Accuracy depends on image quality and contrast. High-resolution images with clear, dark text on a light background give the best results. GrabText uses Tesseract 5, the current state of the art in open-source OCR.
Which languages are recognised?
Seven languages: German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch — individually or as combinations for multilingual images.
Are images deleted after processing?
Yes. Images are used exclusively for OCR and not stored permanently. All servers are located in Germany.
Can I upload multiple images at once?
Yes. Multiple image files can be added at once via drag-and-drop or the file picker. Results are shown individually and can be downloaded as a ZIP archive.
